These guides were written by students at UT Southwestern. You may find them useful, and you may not. They aren't meant to be packaged solutions for doing well in medical school, and they're not sure-fire formulas for getting good USMLE Step scores. They are simply a compendium of the approaches that UT Southwestern students have used for each stage of their medical school careers. Your mileage may vary. Book recommendations come with links to buy them from other UTSW students on Quid Pro Libro.

Each writer has a different stylistic approach to learning, so parts of the guides may contradict each other. The approach we suggest is to think about what your personal learning style is and read the guides written by students who have similar styles.
